MRO Attendant 2nd Shift - Chattanooga, TN / Plant 1

Role Summary

Receive materials, goods, and products and ensuring materials are stored in the proper location to ensure accuracy of inventory and to meet production and customer demand.
Tool crib attendants will manage space and inventory movement, as well as the efficiency of warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reorder stock items by using the electronic reorder Sheet.
  • Perform frequent cycle counts to ensure the system and physical inventory are corresponding.
  • Store and disburse all incoming MRO components and supplies.
  • Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency.
  • Work with Shipping and Receiving Department to store and/or disburse all incoming and outgoing MRO components, including supplies.
  • Maintain, organize and upkeep records for storage of MRO components via work inside tool crib.
  • Distribute office paperwork and safety supplies throughout the plant as needed.
  • Support inventory-related transactions within the organization (inventory adjustments, bin location updates, inventory transfers, etc.).
  • Perform any other duties as deemed necessary or appropriate.

Knowledge and Education

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-5 years of related experience preferably in automotive manufacturing.
  • Forklift experience needed.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, SAP, and E-mail) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to write, read, and comprehend simple correspondence as well as have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work with FIFO (First in First Out).
  • Ability to work in a Team Environment.
