Job summary

GenScript USA Inc/ProBio Inc. in Redmond, WA is seeking a full-time Biotech Process Technician to work onsite in a fast-paced production environment.

You will process DNA via PCR, perform enzymatic reactions to produce and process mRNA, and purify using HPLC and related techniques. Responsibilities include running quality checks, following SOPs, documenting materials and processes, managing inventory, and ordering materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Chemistry is required.
  • Experience with mRNA is a plus.
  • Experience with PCR, HPLC, or enzymatic reactions is desired.
  • Ability to work as part of a small cross-disciplinary team to accomplish goals.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-demand environment is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate with peers and managers in a polite and concise manner is desirable.

  • Purify mRNA using HPLC, spin columns, and other technologies.
  • Run quality checks on in-process and final products.

  • Document all processes and materials used on all products.
  • Keep track of inventory using an inventory management system.
  • Order materials internally and externally for production use.
  • Any other tasks needed as deemed by production manager.

Position Overview
  • Process DNA via PCR, digestion, and purification to prepare template for in-vitro transcription.
  • Perform various enzymatic reactions to produce and process mRNA.
  • Purify mRNA using HPLC, spin columns, and other technologies.
  • Run quality checks on in-process and final products. This includes gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis, RT-PCR, cell expression, HPLC, dot blot, and more.
  • Follow production S.O.P.s to ensure compliance to validated processes.
  • Document all processes and materials used on all products.
  • Keep track of inventory using an inventory management system.
  • Order materials internally and externally for production use.
  • Any other tasks needed as deemed by production manager.

  • Ability to communicate with peers and managers in a polite and concise manner is highly desirable.

Please note that this is a full-time role based onsite in Redmond, WA with lunch provided daily. The hourly pay-rate is $22-$24 per hour.

Please note that we are not looking for candidates that are unable to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
