Job description

Hours: Several Monday-Friday and Weekend Shifts Available

  • Perform MRI procedures. Review medical record for patient history and pertinent information. Explain procedure and position patient according to protocol. Select proper equipment/technique/protocol to obtain data and perform scan. Evaluate images and send to PACS.
  • Review studies for overall quality. Illuminate any problems noted which were not part of initial exam. Alert Radiologist.
  • Organize daily work schedule and respond to emergencies as they occur.
  • Perform daily checks on equipment, clean and perform minor maintenance procedures. Log temperature and pressure levels and note obvious problems. Communicate mechanical concerns with supervisor and GE service. Order and maintain supplies.
  • Provide for patient care, comfort, safety and patient confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate competency in the use of all applicable aspects of the EMR and PACS.
  • Assist the radiologist during arthrogram procedures.
