Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in West Reading, PA seeks a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our partner hospitals for permanent roles. This onsite opportunity supports state-of-the-art imaging services and continuous professional growth.

You will work in a dynamic radiology team, handle contrast administration, ensure MR safety, and contribute to patient care excellence within a stable career path.

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
2+ years of MRI technologist experience.
ARRT registered in Radiology and MRI (or MRI).
Current BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Perform all MRI procedures proficiently and maintain high quality.
Identify patients using two identifiers and communicate MR safety questions.
Prepare scan room using approved cleaning protocols and manage supplies.
Administer contrast materials within approved radiology protocol.
Know and implement emergency procedures as needed.
Enter and record data in hospital computer systems accurately.

Education Requirement

Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Experience

2+ year of experience working as a MRI Technologist and
Successful completion of an MRI clinical rotation during a formal education program

Licensure/Certifications

ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI; OR ARRT registered in MRI;
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.

Prepares scan room for procedures using approved cleaning protocols. Appropriately discards sharps and maintains appropriate level of supplies and linen in rooms
Properly prepares and administers contrast materials associated with MRI procedures that are within the scope of practice as prescribed by a physician or in approved Radiology protocol
Knows and implements emergency procedures as needed.
Performs department and hospital-related computer functions pertinent to the job. Enters and records all data accurately and promptly.
Exhibits competency in performing quality control tasks associated with equipment and procedures to ensure standards are met.
Provides clinical instruction to staff technologists and students. As needed, will prepare staff schedules to ensure the department is staffed properly and coordinate daily workflow.
