Job summary

Neuroscience Group is seeking four MRI Technologists to join two two-person weekend teams providing Saturday and Sunday coverage in Wisconsin. The role emphasizes high-quality imaging, patient safety, and compassionate care while offering a predictable, part-time weekend schedule.

Two-person teams work alternating weekends, typically two weekends per month, with pay commensurate with experience. Strong ARRT MRI credentialing and CPR/BLS are required to ensure patient safety and care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT registration with MRI credentialing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Strong MRI safety knowledge and ability to communicate with patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare and position patients, promoting comfort, privacy and safety.
• Explain procedures and help patients feel at ease during examinations.
• Complete MRI safety screenings and maintain MRI safety-zone controls.
• Select and adjust imaging parameters, sequences, coils, and positioning for diagnostic-quality images.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and obtain additional images as needed.
• Administer IV contrast per physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor patients and respond to clinical or safety concerns during exams.
• Maintain documentation for patients, procedures, and imaging.
• Perform equipment quality-control checks and assist with troubleshooting as needed.

Weekend MRI Technologist

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Alternating Weekends | Pay Commensurate with Experience

Neuroscience Group is expanding our weekend MRI coverage and is looking for four MRI Technologists to create two teams of two. The teams will work alternating weekends, giving you a predictable schedule while allowing you to maintain your MRI skills and provide exceptional patient care.

Each two-person team will work together Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 AM–4:00 PM every other weekend. This is a great opportunity for MRI Technologists looking for consistent, part-time hours that can complement another position, school, family commitments, or simply provide greater flexibility.

As an MRI Technologist with Neuroscience Group, you will perform high-quality MRI examinations to assist our physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The position combines technical MRI expertise with a strong commitment to patient safety, comfort, and compassionate care.

What You'll Do

As part of a two-technologist weekend team, you will:

• Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols, physician orders, and accepted standards of practice.
• Prepare and position patients while promoting comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Explain procedures and help patients feel comfortable throughout their examinations.
• Complete MRI safety screenings and maintain appropriate MRI safety-zone controls.
• Select and adjust imaging parameters, sequences, coils, and positioning to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and obtain additional images when necessary.
• Administer IV contrast in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to clinical or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient, procedure, and imaging documentation.
• Perform equipment quality-control checks and assist with troubleshooting as needed.

What We're Looking For

Candidates must have completed an accredited radiologic technology or applicable imaging program and hold current ARRT registration with appropriate MRI credentialing based on organizational requirements. Current CPR/BLS certification is also required. Strong MRI safety knowledge, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to provide compassionate patient care are essential.

Previous MRI experience and ARRT(MR) certification are preferred. Experience with Epic, PACS, IV contrast administration, and venipuncture is also preferred.

A Weekend Schedule That Works

We're hiring two teams of two MRI Technologists to provide weekend coverage:

Team A: Saturday & Sunday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Team B: Saturday & Sunday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Teams alternate weekends.

That means you'll typically work two weekends per month, with a consistent schedule you can plan around.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of an accredited Radiology program required with current registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and MRI
• MRI Experience
• Epic & PACS knowledge helpful.
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, staff, and physicians.
• Ability to prioritize and has excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to act calmly and communicate effectively in a busy or stressful situation.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• Requires frequent change in position, including bending, stooping, standing, stretching, and walking and sitting, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• May involve lifting of up to 30–40 pounds.
