Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System in Cleveland, OH is seeking an MRI Technologist Weekender for the Neuro Expansion at the Main Campus. You will perform MRI procedures within a state-of-the-art neurology imaging program and support cross-department imaging needs.

The role emphasizes patient comfort and safety, QA, and mentoring of new hires. Shift is nights, 7:00pm–7:30am, with a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARMRIT Registered MRI Technologist credential in good standing.
• ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography, Sonography, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or CNMT credential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart, and data to determine contraindication of MRI examination.
• Perform MRI procedures per protocol and conduct daily QA.
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams.
• Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Report malfunctions and observe equipment dysfunctions; request service when needed.
• Maintain high equipment uptime for patient accessibility.
• Instruct and mentor Radiology staff and students.
• Attend in-service programs and professional sessions.
• Obtain ARRT MRI credential (R.T.(MR)) within one year if not already credentialed.

Caregiver schedule: Saturday and Sunday 7pm-7:30am

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Obtain a certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) within one year of hire if not already credentialed

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
• Hold one of the following credentials in good standing:
  • ARMRIT Registered MRI Technologist
  • ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography, Sonography, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine: R.T.(R), R.T.(S), R.T.(T) or R.T.(N)
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
• Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.25

Maximum hourly: $53.00
