Job summary

Colorado Springs Imaging East is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join our team. The position offers a pay range of $38.16–$47.36 per hour with a 7,000 sign-on bonus for eligible hires and weekend/weekday shift coverage.

Expect MRI procedures, patient preparation, safety compliance and interaction with radiologists to ensure optimal imaging. The role requires ensuring patient comfort, adhering to safety protocols, and documenting imaging results while maintaining equipment and environment

Qualifications

• Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment.
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and reports any quality concerns or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
