Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Hillcrest is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams under Radiologist supervision, delivering high-quality imaging for diagnosis. The role requires careful patient preparation, safety protocols, and accurate documentation.

The responsibilities include operating MRI equipment, communicating with patients to ease anxiety, and maintaining equipment and records in compliance with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION – HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• EXPERIENCE – Less than 1 year of experience.
• CERTIFICATION – BLS required; ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality MRI procedures according to exam protocol.
• Instructs patients and families about the test and procedure.
• Prepares patient and area for the MRI procedure.
• Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality standards.
• Ensures safety, infection-control, and shielding policies are followed.
• Maintains medical imaging records and documentation.
