MRI Technologist (Weekend Option) - The Jewish Hospital

Position: MRI Technologist (Tech)

Location: The Jewish Hospital

Job Summary

The MRI Tech is responsible for operating MRI modalities according to established protocols, working closely with Radiologists and physicians to perform imaging procedures.

Essential Functions
  • Perform MRI procedures following protocols and safety standards.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of patient and procedural data.
  • Select appropriate MRI sequences and scan parameters.
  • Assist in training and supervising MRI students and new staff.
  • Provide patient care and instructions before, during, and after procedures.
  • Administer IV contrast agents and perform injections as needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institution (preferred).
  • Certification and registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology and MRI (required or within one year of hire).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required prior to patient contact).
  • 1 year of MRI experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
  • Experience with EPIC EHR and PACS systems (preferred).
