Job summary

The Sisters of Charity Hospital MRI Technologist position requires performing MR imaging, scanner operation and contrast preparation under NYSDOH, JCAHO and OSHA guidelines within the Imaging Services Department.

Candidates should have ARRT MRI certification, NYS licensure and BLS; 3–5 years CT experience with MRI exposure is preferred. Shift is 10a–11p with weekend call; Per Diem, 0.1 FTE.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Approved School of Radiological Technology.
• BLS Certification.
• 3–5 years work experience as a CT Technologist with MRI experience preferred.
• ARRT MRI Certification and NYS license required; ARRT registration maintained.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, anatomy, and radiation protection standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform MR patient imaging, scanner instrumentation and contrast agent preparation.
• After hours and weekend emergency calls.
• Maintain quality assurance and safety in MRI.
