Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Night MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with scope of practice and organizational policies. The role includes patient education, scheduling, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include preparing contrast media, monitoring vitals, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring high-quality imaging results. 13-week assignments and local traveler options exist for those within 75 miles; 72 hours per pay period, night

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• One year of experience.
• Registered as a Technologist (RT) and registered in MRI or registry eligible with registry within 12 months by ARRT (Radiography).
• State licensure if required by law.
• BLS through AHA or ARC CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date; BLS/CPR valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician orders; schedules; educates patient on procedures, equipment and exam.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope; monitors patient condition and reports changes.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; maintains safety standards; reports equipment malfunctions.

Pay:$60.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend

LOCAL Traveler contract options available for those who reside within 75 miles

Summary

• Performs magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including re-positioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reportsscan results.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. .
• One year of experience
• Registered as a Technologist (RT) and registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or registry eligible with completing of registry within 12 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (Radiography).
• State licensure if required by law.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
