Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans according to protocols, troubleshooting systems as needed.
• Archive patient exams.
• Start IVs confidently.
• Adapt to different MRI environments, including 1.5T and 3T MRI machines, and operating rooms.
• Operate patient monitoring systems across the organization.
• Follow MRI safety guidelines per organizational policy.

Qualifications

Licenses Required

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system (to be obtained within 30 days of hire).
• One of the following:
• ARRT Registration as MRI R.T. (MR) (ARRT).
• MRI Technologist Certification from ARMRIT.
• Other licenses as determined by the hiring department.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least three years of technical MRI experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This role involves physical activity, including lifting up to 100 pounds, and may require repetitive movements such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving objects or patients.
