Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform MR examinations, ensuring safety and high-quality imaging in a fast-paced radiology department in Connecticut. You will prepare patients, communicate with Radiologists, and maintain equipment and room cleanliness while adhering to OSHA/HIPAA standards.

The role requires ARRT/ARMRIT certification, 1–3 years of experience, and strong English communication skills; a $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• BLS certification preferred.
• 1–3 years' MRI experience preferred.
• Graduated from an accredited MRI program with current MRI certification.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Advanced computer skills with email and Microsoft applications; EMR/RIS/PACS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Performs MR examinations with knowledge of positioning, protocols and equipment to produce optimal results.
• Assumes accountability for patient safety and delivery of care.
• Prepares patients for procedures and provides instructions to minimize anxiety.
• Communicates with Radiologist and verifies provider orders.
• Produces quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
• Maintains MRI room cleanliness and adheres to infection control standards.
• Performs routine quality control checks on equipment.
• Participates in departmental meetings and other duties as required.
