Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology school is a must.

MRI Tech – Radiology Department

Work hours: PRN (As Needed) M-F 5p-11p

Here’s What You Need

Education

  1. Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required
  2. Associate's degree preferred
  3. Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required

Experience

  1. 1 year medical imaging experience required
  2. 1 year MRI experience preferred
  3. CT experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  1. BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  2. ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists MR upon hire required
  3. ARRMRT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists upon hire required
  4. ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R upon hire required
  5. ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT upon hire required
  6. ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists N upon hire required
  7. NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board CNMT upon hire required
  8. CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT upon hire required
  9. ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists MR if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT 12 months required
  10. ARRMRT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT 12 months required

What You Will Do

Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing

  1. Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam
  2. Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest

Patient Care

  1. Uses multidisciplinary, team oriented actions
  2. Assesses and recognizes the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

  1. Adjusts technical factors
  2. Operates, cares for and maintains equipment

Professional Accountability and Partnership

  1. Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement
  2. Performs any assignment deemed necessary by supervisor

Our four-story specialty center for women and infants features 12 labor and delivery beds, 2 C-section suites along with 6 antepartum and 24 postpartum beds. Texas Health Denton is the city’s only provider of obstetrical and neonatal intensive care services and is the largest provider of obstetrical services in Denton County.
