Job summary

Hartford HealthCare MRI is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to operate 3 GE High Field Scanners in a busy Level One Trauma Center. You will prepare patients, position them, and perform MRI exams following established protocols to support accurate diagnosis.

Responsibilities include contrast administration, image optimization, and collaboration with radiologists. This role offers opportunities for professional growth within Connecticut’s leading healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or ARMRIT with MRI focus and an Associate Degree.
• BLS certification required.

Shift Detail: 3 12 hour shifts. 11a-11:30p, rotating every 3rd weekend.

MRI is looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to work in a busy Level One Trauma Center where MRI operates 24/7 on 3 GE High Field Scanners.

Summary

The MRI Technologist performs MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exam in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols in order to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Tech prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) with an Associate Degree with focus in medical image preferably MRI.
