Job Summary:

Provides guidance and assistance to staff performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations. May perform MRI examinations as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Prepares work schedules to ensure sufficient staff availability for patient appointments.
2. Ensures staff explains MRI procedures to patients and obtains consent forms.
3. Provides training and guidance to ensure proper and safe operation of equipment.
4. Assists staff in confirming that images meet radiologists' requirements.
5. Performs quality control for procedures and equipment, documents system failures, and arranges for service when necessary.
6. Coordinates maintenance and repair of MRI equipment with contractors.
7. Manages inventory by ordering equipment, film, and supplies.
8. Reviews and submits reports on the number and type of examinations conducted.
9. Performs duties as an MRI Technologist as required.
10. Performs other related duties as directed.
