Job summary

Physicians Regional Healthcare System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine MRI procedures and ensure patient safety during exams at 6101 Pine Ridge Rd, Naples, FL. The role supports diagnostic imaging through accurate acquisition, equipment operation, and adherence to protocols in a PRN capacity.

You will work with radiologists and care teams to deliver high-quality images while maintaining safety standards and patient comfort in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
• Reviews MRI patient questionnaires and histories to identify contraindications and ensure safety.
• Operates MRI and processing equipment following safety guidelines.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Maintains MRI safety zones and verifies readiness before entering scan areas.
• Documents and correlates clinical history with exam findings for radiologist.
• Maintains inventory of MRI supplies and equipment.
• Verifies orders and patient ID before procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborates with radiologists and clinicians to optimize imaging results.
• Monitors MRI equipment functionality and reports issues promptly.
• Provides instructions and support to patients during and after exams.
