Job summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging in Villa Park, IL is seeking an MRI Technologist for PRN Saturdays (8:00 am - 3:00 pm). The role requires ARRT/ARMRIT registration, MRI certification, and CPR-BLS certification, with experience in diagnostic imaging.

The position involves patient safety, equipment quality control, sterile technique, and accurate data recording. This onsite role offers a competitive hourly rate of $36.00–$42.00 and opportunities for growth within a physician-led imaging network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MRI certification program.
• ARRT/ARMRIT registered.
• Previous experience in diagnostic radiology/imaging setting.
• Proficiency running advanced MR studies independently.
• CPR- BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains current knowledge of MR technology and assists in quality control of equipment.
• Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for implants and researching any necessary clearance.
• Sterilize and maintain equipment, maintains cleanliness or rooms and keeps adequate stock of supplies on hand.
• Administration of aseptic injection technique for contrast.
• Address patient concerns during procedure, and explain MRI procedure using tact, courtesy and poise to reduce anxiety to obtain patient cooperation.
• Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging.
• Document radiological services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart.
• Ensures quality standards are met and promotes continuous quality improvement.
• Provide education, training and direction to new technologists.
• According to department standards and protocols set by radiologist, perform all job related functions as a MRI Technologist, including all imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner, and communicate related information to appropriate physician.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions.
