Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – St. Louis is seeking an MRI technologist on a PRN basis to operate MRI scanners and produce diagnostic-quality images. You will position patients, select imaging parameters, and ensure accurate data entry and image transfer.

Requirements include completion of a MRI or Radiology Technology program and obtaining an MRI credential (ARMRIT or ARRT) within 12 months of hire. Prior experience is not required; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a MRI or Radiology Technology program.
• MRI credential from ARMRIT or ARRT required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients and selects parameters to produce cross-sectional images.
• Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enters and monitors patient data and transfers images.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice and regulations.
• Ensures high-quality images are submitted to PACS and labeling is correct.
• Reports equipment problems and maintains department cleanliness.
