Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program required.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist required.
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required or ARMRIT certification or eligible within 12 months of hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
• Reviews MRI patient questionnaires and histories to identify contraindications and ensure safety.
• Operates MRI equipment and processing software following safety guidelines.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams, addressing questions to ensure comfort.
• Maintains MRI safety zones and verifies readiness before scans.
• Documents clinical history with exam findings for radiologist.
• Monitors MRI equipment and reports issues promptly.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team for optimal imaging results.
