Job summary

Advanced Medical Imaging in Kokomo, Indiana is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a PRN role at our outpatient imaging center. The MRI technologist will perform routine to complex MR procedures, ensuring safety and quality per ARRT standards.

Responsibilities include documenting orders, interacting with the medical record, administering medications as prescribed, and maintaining image quality and archiving data. ARRT/ARMIT registry required; up to 5 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology or equivalent two-year program.
• ARRT or ARMIT MR registry required; MR advanced registry within 12 months.
• Must be registered with ARRT/ARMIT and meet state licensure requirements.
• Up to 5 years experience as an MRI technologist.

Responsibilities

• Receives, relays, and documents orders in the patient's medical record.
• Corroborates patient history with physician's order for procedures.
• Administers medications as prescribed and manages patient needs during procedures.
• Applies ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Performs MR procedures per established protocols for diagnostic interpretation.
• Evaluates images for technical quality and proper patient identification.
• Provides education to patients, students and other health care providers.
• Conducts quality assurance activities and maintains digital data archives.
• Maintains supply inventory and ensures safe environment per standards.
• Precepts students/residents and participates in staff meetings.
