Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist PRN to join our Radiology team. The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized MRI of organs and blood flow, presenting images and patient history to the Radiologist for diagnostic reports.

You will assist and position patients, start IVs for contrast when needed, ensure image quality, and follow strict radiation safety guidelines in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
• ARRT registered (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• ARRT MR certification preferred or must become registry eligible for MR within 1 year and complete within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Compassionately assist and position patients.
• Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed.
• Release patients with post-procedure instructions.
• Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Skills

ARRT registered

BCLS within 30 days

MRI experience 2–3 years
