Job summary

East Tennessee Children's Hospital is seeking a qualified MRI technologist to perform diverse MRI procedures and ensure high-quality imaging for pediatric patients. The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and accurate data handling within the Radiology department.

The successful candidate will have ARRT certification, Health Science training, and 1 year of radiology experience, with 2 years MRI experience preferred. Flexibility for on-call coverage and shift rotations is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Health Science program.
• ARRT registration; MRI certification preferred.
• 1 year general radiology experience required; 3-5 years general radiology experience or equivalent with 2 years MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanner and auxiliary equipment to produce quality images.
• Follow safety guidelines and ALARA principles during MRI procedures.
• Verify patient identity and orders accurately before imaging.
• Maintain PACS workflow and timely entry of patient data.
• Provide excellent patient care and effective communication with patients and staff.
