Job summary

Down East Community Hospital seeks a Magnetic Resonance Imaging technologist to operate MRI equipment, acquire diagnostic images and ensure patient comfort during procedures.

You will prepare contrast agents, position patients of all ages per protocol, perform quality control, use PACS for image review, and discuss findings with Radiologists while maintaining safety and department standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MRI program.
• ARRT license and BLS certification.
• One year experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to use multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI units to provide quality images for interpretation.
• Prepare contrast agents for administration to patients.
• Position and scan per protocols.
• Discuss cases with Radiologist.
• Maintain department cleanliness and safety.
• Utilize PACS to view patient images and perform QC.
• Report equipment malfunction and safety issues.
• Assist outpatient scheduling and patient care needs.
