The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, scheduled to open in 2024. The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at opening, with space to expand to 202 beds in the future. This $250 million project also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building providing convenient access to expert care. The hospital will offer a wide range of healthcare services including emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic, and women’s care.

The role you’ll contribute:

The primary function of the MRI Technologist is to perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures. Under the direction of the MRI Medical Physician and the Regional Technical Supervisor of MRI, the technologist will perform highly technical procedures, responsible for designated areas, procedures, and instruments.

• Report and resolve customer service issues promptly and courteously.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing technical imaging procedures on all patient age groups and be able to teach the same.
• Provide imaging procedures to all patients, regardless of age, race, or sex, offering efficient and courteous care.
• Operate imaging equipment proficiently and adhere to department policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, families, and imaging services administration.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience needed to succeed:

• High School diploma or equivalent upon hire.
• Completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Ultrasonography upon hire.
• Current ARRT certification upon hire.
• Current Florida State license in Radiologic Technology upon hire.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification or RQI upon hire, with quarterly renewal per RQI protocols.
