Description

Attention MRI Technologists looking for PRN work.

Mandatory 2 shifts per month, including 1 weekend shift: Saturday 7am-3:30pm or Sunday 8am-4:30pm.

Danbury Hospital is seeking a PRN MRI Tech with increased rates and shift differentials ($54.73+ shift differential).

Summary

Performs high-quality diagnostic MRI procedures to assist physicians in patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides optimum patient care.
  • Operates MRI equipment safely and correctly with technical expertise.
  • Performs and records daily QA procedures.
  • Develops skills for safe clinical practice.
  • Gains proficiency in Contrast Administration.
  • Demonstrates self-direction and problem-solving skills.
  • Cross-trains in another modality.
  • Maintains technical competency in less frequent order procedures (2+ years experience).
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: HS diploma or equivalent.

Required

Minimum Experience: 1 year.

Desired: 3 years in MRI; background in ultrasound or CT scan.

Working Conditions

  • Manual skills, motor coordination, finger dexterity.
  • Occupational risk involved.
  • Physical effort may involve exerting up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
