Corpus Christi Medical Center Doctors Regional is seeking an MRI Technologist PRN to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. You will perform MRI procedures with minimal supervision while ensuring safety, accuracy, and patient comfort in a busy clinical setting.

The role requires ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification, an associate degree or equivalent, and CPR certification within 30 days of starting. Training opportunities and cross-coverage are available in a supportive environment.

• Associate Degree or equivalent plus high school diploma/ GED or vocational training.
• CPR/Heart Saver CPR or equivalent within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT MRI certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Position and transfer patients for MRI procedures.
• Provide immobilization devices as needed and select appropriate protocols.
• Operate MRI equipment as directed and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain magnet safety and sterile techniques where required.
• Cross-train in designated areas and assist in training others.
• Maintain records, department orderliness, and equipment calibration.
• Rotate shifts and participate in call system as required.
• Uphold ethical standards in patient and peer relations.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures at a technical level which does not require direct supervision and assumes the responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

What you will do in this role:

• Position and transfers patients.
• Provides immobilization devices as required.
• Selects proper technical protocols on an individual patient basis.
• Operates equipment as directed.
• Provides Magnet protection in accordance with prescribed safety standard.
• Practices sterile techniques when necessary.
• Cross trains in specific areas as assigned.
• May be required to train technologists in specific areas
• Maintains own skills and understanding in innovations in techniques and equipment in the field of magnetic resonance.
• Participates in call system.
• Maintains adequate records as directed.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in the department.
• Cooperates with all personnel in the proper conduct of the dept.
• Rotates within the department by shift as required.
• Assists in equipment calibration.
• Maintains ethical relationship’s with patients and peers.
• Subject to rules and regulations of the Diagnostic Imaging dept and DRMC as outlined in the respective procedure manuals.
• Other related duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree, and High School Graduate / GED, or Vocational School Graduate
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or CPR for Healthcare Providers, or Heart Saver CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists
