Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Position Overview:

This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, in a patient-centered environment. The technologist provides safe, age-appropriate care, sets up equipment, positions patients, and ensures high-quality imaging results. Responsibilities include obtaining clinical history, verifying patient identity, administering contrast safely, and responding to emergencies. They assist with procedures, maintain equipment, and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical procedures independently using appropriate judgment and ingenuity.


• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout exams.


• Review images for clinical acceptability and transmit studies promptly.


• Maintain equipment, cleanliness, and supply levels, and operate all workstations associated with MRI.


• Communicate clearly with patients, staff, and physicians, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.


• Participate in training, documentation, quality control, and compliance with regulatory standards.


• Transport and assist patients before and after procedures, and perform clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 1 year clinical MRI experience preferred.


• Certifications: ARMRIT or ARRT-MR, BLS required.


• Certificate in Radiologic Technology or related field.


• Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.


• Ability to work independently and under pressure, with attention to detail and safety.


• Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, pulse sequences, and magnet safety.
