Job Description:

The MRI technologist is responsible for compassionate and appropriate patient care while performing MRI examinations under the direction of a physician to assist in the medical diagnosis or treatment of injury.

Posting Specifics

Shift Details: PRN (As Needed)

Unit/Location: Platte Valley Hospital

Minimum Qualifications

1. Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or one-year minimum related experience and/or training, required
2. Current ARRT (R) or (MR)
3. Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required
4. Ability to interact with people of all ages, required

Preferred Qualifications

1. At least one (1) year of experience as a MRI Technologist, preferred

Physical Requirements:

1. Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
2. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
3. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
4. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
5. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
