Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking an MRI Technologist for a PRN position in Illinois. The role involves performing diagnostic imaging using Siemens MRI machines, preparing patients and equipment, and conducting studies independently as needed.

Candidates should have an Associate degree or higher, RT(R) and/or MRI certification, and 2+ years MRI experience. Licenses such as CPR and IV therapy are advantageous; on-call and portable exams may be required.

Qualifications

• Certification as RT(R) and/or MRI (ARMRIT or equivalent).
• 2+ years MRI experience preferred.
• Licenses such as CPR, IEMA, IV therapy and additional certifications are advantageous.

Job description

The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced modalities, primarily Siemens MRI machines, to produce high-quality images for complex and critical cases. This PRN position requires working on an as-needed basis, including on-call and portable exams.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing patients and equipment for imaging procedures
• Conducting studies independently and in various settings as required

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate degree or higher in a related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)) and/or MRI (ARMRIT or equivalent)
• Preferred experience of 2+ years in MRI or other radiologic modalities
• Licenses such as IEMA (excluding MRI), CPR, Intravenous Therapy, and additional certifications are advantageous

Key Attributes:

Knowledge of advanced imaging modalities, ability to work independently, and competence in patient preparation and safety protocols.
