Job summary

Longhorn Imaging Center is seeking an MRI Technologist who will provide high-quality MRI imaging in alignment with our standards and values. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service and patient care as part of our mission.

The ideal candidate will perform routine and specialized MRI procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with physicians. The position is full-time and in-person at our Austin locations.

Qualifications

• One year experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Graduate of an educational program in Radiology accredited by JRCERT OR AMA approved program OR military training program of equivalent standards.
• Associates Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology - preferred Licenses and Certifications.
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• BLS certification per Longhorn Imaging Healthcare policy.
• ARRT Certification (Required).

Responsibilities

• Operate standard and specialized MRI equipment to perform routine MRI examinations.
• Provide patient care and recognize conditions essential for successful procedures.
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures and follow established safety procedures.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images and data to the PACS system.
• Maintain aseptic technique and clean/sterilize equipment between patients.
• Follow MRI safety procedures and guidelines.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• As an MRI Technologist, you will operate standard, and specialized MRI equipment to perform routine MRI examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.
• Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
• You will prepare patients for MRI procedures and perform MRI following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• You will ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to the PACS system (image quality, and patient data/history).
• You will turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow MRI safety procedures and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• One year experience as a MRI Technologist
• Graduate of an educational program in Radiology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) OR graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology OR a military training program of equivalent standards
• Associates Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology - preferred Licenses and Certifications
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per Longhorn Imaging Healthcare policy
• Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), (RT) MR
