Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Department on a PRN basis. You will perform MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, while supporting the Chief MRI Tech and Imaging Manager in maintaining workflow.

Qualifications include ARRT-MR or ARRT-R certification and completion of a vocational program. This role is on-site in Arlington, TX, and requires the ability to prioritize patient needs and collaborate with staff.

Qualifications

• Performs MRI procedures according to established protocols.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort during exams.
• Assists with image quality and workflow under supervision.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The MRI Tech works in conjunction with the Chief MRI Tech, Imaging Manager, Director and Medical Staff to improve the patient and work flow via providing support, education and leadership to the technical staff. Supports the mission and vision of the Medical Center of Arlington. Perform MRI procedures as outlined by the State of Texas and departmental protocols, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.

• Responsible for the customer needs of the MRI area of the Imaging Department.
• Demonstrates knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment and policies - Hospital and Department - that are necessary for job performance, which include but are not limited to neurological disorders and stroke, oncologic and cardiac services.
• Collaborates with other department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives.
• Maintains and achieves daily productivity and quality assurance standards set by management.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform, the assigned duties.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography
