Job summary

OhioHealth in Kentucky is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to prepare patients, assist radiologists, and operate MRI equipment across procedures. The role emphasizes safety and image quality in a busy setting.

You will perform safety checks, post-process images, manage contrast administration, and ensure timely PACS transfers. This position is part of Dawson Supplemental Staff with variable shifts, offering opportunities to grow in a caring health system.

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification is required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • NMTCB or ARRT or ARMIT certification recognized.
  • Field of Study: Radiography.

Responsibilities

  • Operates MRI equipment including the magnet, injectors, independent consoles, physiological patient monitors, and cardiac gating/monitoring equipment.
  • Adjusts pulse sequences according to body part and diagnosis.
  • Ensures proper patient positioning.
  • Performs daily safety and quality control checks for the system.
  • Sends images to PACS for interpretation.
  • Transfers images to independent console for processing.
  • Reformats and performs post-processing of images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Administers MRI contrast agents.
  • Adheres to safety, quality and efficiency expectations as an HRO.

ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
ARMIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
BLS – Basic Life Support
