Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment under Radiologist supervision, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient safety in a fast-paced radiology department.

The ideal candidate has a formal radiologic technology background, at least one year of MRI experience, and the ability to work independently while supporting protocol development and training of new staff.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology program in an AMA approved school preferred.
• Must have the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• One year experience on a GE/Siemens 1.5T and 3T scanner.
• Previous experience with MRI.

Responsibilities

• Properly identifies patient information using two patient identifiers and complies with safety standards.
• Operates MRI equipment and coordinates patient flow for routine, specialty and research studies.
• Screens patients for safety and ensures accurate documentation and image delivery.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and supports protocol development and training as needed.
