Qualifications
Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the ARRT is required.
MRI registration and certification to be obtained within 2 years.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months.
Responsibilities
Operates MRI equipment for diagnostic procedures.
Obtains patient medical history and prepares contrast media.
Maintains records and enters information into radiology system.
Skills
Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety
Competent in IV and venipuncture
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently
Intermediate computer skills
Education
Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
