Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a skilled MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging in Springfield with adherence to protocols and patient safety. Under Radiologist direction, you will help train staff and supervise MRI students while contributing to a high-standard imaging service.

You will ensure precise imaging, manage patient history, injections of contrast, and collaborate with the radiology team to maintain safety and quality across procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred).
• MRI Registry from ARRT or ARMRIT (required).
• State licensure (preferred, depending on state).
• BLS from American Heart Association (required at hire).
• 1 year MRI department experience (preferred).
• Advanced MRI Registry (MR) preferred or must obtain within two years.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI modality per established protocols and under Radiologist guidance.
• Train and onboard new employees and assist in supervising MRI students.
• Perform MRI scans, position patients, and ensure safety and patient comfort.
• Maintain QC and quality control responsibilities in the MRI suite.
• Collaborate with radiology team and other modalities to ensure efficient workflow.
• Participate in performance improvement and audits.
