Job summary

FlexStaff is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our client’s Radiology Diagnostic Department in New York. You will perform advanced MRI procedures, explain the process to patients, and ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining patient privacy.

The ideal candidate has NYS licensure, ARRT certification, IV contrast administration certification, and 2+ years of MRI experience. BLS and strong communication are essential; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Certified MRI Technologist with NYS Licensure and ARRT Certification.
• Valid Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in MRI.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and radiology procedures.
• Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records.
• BLS certification and excellent communication skills.
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish or second language) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform state-of-the-art MRI procedures with precision and confidence.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
• Provide compassionate care, easing anxiety and maintaining patient privacy.
• Position patients and operate MRI equipment to capture high-quality images.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to optimize results.
• Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring safety and functionality.
• Utilize PACS and RIS for smooth workflow.
• Administer contrast media safely and effectively, following protocols.
• Be part of emergency response when needed with quick thinking.
