Qualifications
Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
Strong background in cross sectional anatomy, physical sciences and M.R. physics.
2 years experience in MRI preferred.
NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology.
A.R.R.T. MRI registry.
BCLS Certified.
Responsibilities
Performs MRI imaging procedures.
Applies the necessary technical judgment for diagnostic quality.
Operates specialized equipment for magnetic imaging procedures.
Positions patients and coils for optimum study.
Educates patients on imaging procedures.
Reviews patient safety questionnaires before scans.
Ensures labeled MRI images per SOP.
Evaluates images for acceptability and timely transmissions.
Maintains cleanliness in Radiology room and equipment.
Records patient tracking information in IDX.
Schedules exams in IDX as required.
Informs supervisor of needed repairs.
Assists physician as required.
Performs clerical duties in support personnel's absence.
Maintains safety standards in scan room.
Adheres to infection control protocols.
Participates in professional development.
