Qualifications
Strong background in cross sectional anatomy, physical sciences, and M.R. physics.
2 years experience in MRI preferred.
Responsibilities
Performs MRI imaging procedures.
Applies necessary technical judgment for quality studies.
Operates and prepares specialized equipment for procedures.
Positions patients and coils for optimum study.
Provides patient education relevant to imaging procedures.
Reviews patient safety questionnaires prior to scans.
Ensures MRI images are labeled as specified.
Evaluates images for acceptability and transmits to PACS.
Maintains cleanliness of the Radiology room and equipment.
Records patient tracking information accurately into IDX.
Schedules exams in IDX as required.
Informs of needed repairs to equipment.
Assists physicians as required.
Maintains safety standards in the scan room.
Attends in-services and professional development meetings.
