Qualifications

• Strong background in cross sectional anatomy, physical sciences, and M.R. physics.
• 2 years experience in MRI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI imaging procedures.
• Applies necessary technical judgment for quality studies.
• Operates and prepares specialized equipment for procedures.
• Positions patients and coils for optimum study.
• Provides patient education relevant to imaging procedures.
• Reviews patient safety questionnaires prior to scans.
• Ensures MRI images are labeled as specified.
• Evaluates images for acceptability and transmits to PACS.
• Maintains cleanliness of the Radiology room and equipment.
• Records patient tracking information accurately into IDX.
• Schedules exams in IDX as required.
• Informs of needed repairs to equipment.
• Assists physicians as required.
• Maintains safety standards in the scan room.
• Attends in-services and professional development meetings.
