Job Description for MRI Technologist at Virtua Health

Virtua Health is committed to serving the community by providing exceptional healthcare services. We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team at Burlington Hospital, with responsibilities including performing MRI procedures, operating MRI equipment safely, and providing excellent patient care.

Location: Burlington Hospital - 218 A Sunset Rd

Employment Type: Employee

Employment Classification: Per Diem

Time Type: Part time

Work Shift: 2nd Shift (United States of America)

Additional Locations: Mount Holly, NJ

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality MRI studies according to established protocols.
  • Operate MRI equipment safely, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Verify patient identity and medical appropriateness before procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Follow safety and institutional policies during MRI operations.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Certification as ARMRIT or CAMRT Registered MR Technologist, or ARRT registered and NJDEP licensed radiographer with supervised scanning experience, or an allied health degree with additional imaging certification and supervised MR scanning experience.
  • MRI Board certification preferred.
  • Previous MRI experience is preferred.

New hires are eligible for a sign-on bonus of $500 with a one-year commitment. The role involves rotating to Willingboro and Mount Holly campuses.
