Job summary

Penn Medicine in Berwyn, PA is seeking a Per Diem MRI Tech to perform MRI/MRA procedures and ensure patient safety and high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes. The MRI Technologist will assist Radiologists and act as the first point of contact for patients in the imaging suite.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification or eligibility, CEUs, CPR, HS diploma, and graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program; per diem scheduling and ongoing departmental support are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to greeting and communicate with patients and families clearly.
• Maintain patient safety protocols and adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and confirms identifications; explains the procedure.
• Obtains patient history and screens for surgeries and implants; verifies consent for contrast.
• Place Angio catheters; inject MRI contrast as directed by Radiologist; operate MRI scanner and coils.
• Archive and verify MRI images; perform QA testing.
• Monitor patient status and comfort; assist radiologists and other staff.
• Maintain inventory and respond to equipment issues; comply with safety procedures.
