Job summary

Monterey Park Hospital in Los Angeles County is seeking an MRI Technologist for the MRI Department on a per diem 8-hour day shift. You will operate MRI equipment, position patients, ensure comfort and safety, and adjust scanning parameters under radiologist supervision.

The role requires ARRT-MRI/ARMRIT/CRT certification, 1 year MRI experience preferred, and current BLS from the American Heart Association. Per diem schedule applies, reporting to Radiology leadership.

Qualifications

• ARRT-MRI, ARMRIT or CRT MRI certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year MRI experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Explain procedures and provide comfort, positioning and immobilization of patients.
• Set scan parameters, monitor image display, and adjust density/contrast for optimal quality.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and ensure safety protocols are followed.
