It requires effective communication with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families, as well as assisting radiologists, handling medications within scope, and starting IVs.
The technologist contributes to departmental efficiency and patient care continuity, including taking call duties.
An Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or MRI-specific training, along with a Washington Radiologic Technologist license with MR designation, is required.
Certification as a National Registered or Certified MRI Technologist and BLS certification are essential.
Preferred experience includes hospital settings and at least 2 years of sub-specialty MRI work.
Perform MRI scans, communicate with medical staff and patients, maintain quality standards, assist radiologists, manage medications, and support department operations.
On-call duties are part of the role.
