Job summary

Job description

PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center, Longview, WA. Variable shifts may be scheduled between 0600 and 2130. Pay: $47.68–$71.95. 15% differential in lieu of benefits.

What You’ll Do

• Perform all routine and specialized MRI procedures, integrating medical knowledge with technical skills and effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
• Operate MRI scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of images, and perform quality control measures to ensure optimal image quality.
• Apply the ACR Guidance Document for Safe MR Practices to ensure patient, visitor, and caregiver safety.

Education

• Accredited School of Radiologic Technology required, or equivalent education and/or experience sufficient to obtain certification/license/registration required by the State for clinical practice.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year previous experience preferred.
• Demonstrated venipuncture competency.
• Demonstrated knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices, procedures, physiology, and human cross‑sectional anatomy.
• Demonstrated competency in computer‑based programs related to MR applications.

Credentials

• Required upon hire: ARRT – R or ARRT – MR or ARRT – Sonography or CNMT or ARMRIT.
• Required within 1½ years: ARRT – MR.
• Basic Life Support upon hire.
• Washington Radiologic Technologist licensure required at hire.
