Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• CAHEA-accredited program in medical imaging or equivalent.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid Mississippi licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for the procedure with instructions to minimize anxiety.
• Selects and operates MRI systems and related equipment.
• Positions patient and equipment to demonstrate anatomy of interest.
• Acquires IV access for contrasted studies following universal precautions.
• Assists radiologist in minimally invasive MRI procedures under ultrasound guidance.
• Prepares MRI Center for ACR accreditation.
• Maintains neat, professional appearance and compliance with HIPAA.
• Attends CPR and OSHA trainings and maintains licensure education.
