Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required.
• ARRT MR certification with RT(MR) designation required within 12 months of transfer.
• Documented MRI training and experience preferred.
• Radiography RT(R) designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects information from patient and others to assess needs.
• Reviews patient records and lab values to support evaluation.
• Documents assessments accurately per policy and procedures.
• Explains procedures and answers questions for patient understanding.
• Operates MRI equipment and maintains quality imaging per protocols.
• Prepares procedure room and ensures required equipment is ready.
• Assists in clinical training of radiology and nursing students.
• Maintains MRI safety to minimize risk.
