Job summary

The Womans Hospital of Texas is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. Under the supervision of the Radiology Director, you will perform MRI, routine diagnostic imaging, portable x-rays, and fluoroscopy, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety.

You will train staff as a preceptor, uphold QC processes, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and satellite staff to provide continuous patient care while pursuing ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) and MRT certification required; ARRT (MR) certification to be attained within six months of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology; CPR/Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days.
• Minimum 3 years experience; experience with women’s health and neonatal patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MRI patient flow and maintain QC processes in the MRI department.
• Provide technical expertise and act as preceptor to train new staff.
• Ensure patient safety through MRI and radiation protection per standards.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, and satellite staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Demonstrate timekeeping, attendance, and initiative to improve unit performance.
• Uphold ethical standards and patient-centered care; handle additional duties as assigned.
