Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MR imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and contribute to high-quality diagnostic imaging. The role includes patient preparation, image acquisition, data entry, and collaboration with radiology staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures on patients: prepares patients for MRI exam, explains procedure, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients for the MRI scanner, selects imaging techniques, and ensures scan quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on MRI equipment and matrix camera; may assist with accreditation processes.
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions to department management.
• Takes emergency call within the department.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and budgetary specifications.
• Promotes professional growth and development and serves as preceptor or mentor to staff.
• Models Memorial Hermann service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned.
