Responsibilities

• Reviews metal screening and history forms with the patient prior to starting the exam.
• Ensures consent forms are signed prior to examination.
• Reviews chart for authorization approval and matches body part to note.
• Understands MRI protocols and consults radiologist as needed.
• Explains the MRI procedure and instructs the patient throughout.
• Maintains equipment per protocol and supports QA/ accreditation efforts.
• Adheres to OSHA, HIPAA, and QA regulatory requirements.
• Keeps thorough records and assists with patient billing information.
