Job description

We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to work weekend shifts in a highly regarded imaging department. This role is ideal for candidates who demonstrate strong technical proficiency and independent judgment in MRI procedures. The schedule consists of two extended shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, offering a stable, part-time weekend opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures utilizing proper techniques to support accurate diagnostic outcomes
  • Operate PACS, HIS, and RIS systems effectively and troubleshoot equipment as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety, confidentiality, and infection control standards
  • Take initiative in supervising or mentoring as assigned by department leadership
  • Maintain ongoing training, including required annual competencies and safety protocols
  • Provide excellent patient care throughout the imaging process

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved MRI program (or diagnostic X-ray with MRI training)
  • Current CPR certification
  • ARRT (MR) certification required within two years of hire
  • ARRT (RTR) and Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume, high-stress environment
  • Completion of all required annual education and competency assessments
